Nintendo wants households to own multiple Switch units

The Switch is off to a fantastic start, but there's a lot more room for the system to grow. According to Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima, one way to do that is to make sure households have more than one Switch.

Nintendo's president thinks the Switch is priced fairly enough to have more than one unit in the house, but he does recognize it will be too expensive for some families. In that case, he sees customers grabbing one Switch for the house, and then purchasing a 3DS to go along with it. Kimishima says the 3DS could be given to younger children, and then they could graduate to gameplay on the Switch.

Thanks to sligeach_eire for the heads up!
