The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild the first Zelda game in Japan since Ocarina of Time to break 1 million units sold

We talked a little bit about this a few weeks back, but now it's official. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold over 1 million units in Japan alone. The Switch version accounts for 871,528 units while the Wii U version accounts for another 133,024 units. This makes it the first Zelda game in Japan since Ocarina of Time to break the 1 million mark. Now the question is, will it topple Ocarina of Time at some point?

So BOTW is so great that Japan is buying over 1 million?

Just shows that BOTW is as great as OoT

I was wondering why it said it had passed 1 million. I seen the Media Create sales yesterday but I'd forgotten about the Wii U sales of the game. It's very early in the Switch's life so I think the Switch version alone can reach 1 million if not 1.5 or more by the end of its life.

Yeah, I think it’s got the legs to overtake OoT overtime. It’s sort of an evergreen title, in ways.

I think this can hit 10 million worldwide easy and becoming the best selling Zelda game all time. (Unless you could OoT and OoT 3D as the same game then they are at like 13 million)

Minish Cap didn't even reach 250000? ...that's so sad... it's such a great game!

There was just something about Minish Cap that I didn't like, but I can't quite put my finger on it. I think it was mostly the sound design that just made it feel... weird? I hate that I can't be more specific than this. But I really wanted to like Minish Cap a lot, but I just only mildly liked it
