Detective Pikachu amiibo unlocks "Pika Prompts" faster in-game

The giant Detective Pikachu amiibo is awesome enough to own based on stature alone, but what does it actually do for you in the game? Turns out you can scan it to unlock Pika Prompts, which are cut-scenes that give you hints on what to do next. These hints can be unlocked without the amiibo, but scanning Detective Pikachu in allows you quicker access to them.
