While Niantic tries to figure out what's causing a number of hiccups in Pokemon GO at the moment, the company confirmed that they'll be extending Community Day hours in the Asia-Pacific region to make up for the issue. Hopefully their team can work out the kinks and get things back to running smoothly soon.
UPDATE - The issue has been resolved
Trainers, the recent service issues have been resolved, and we're continuing to monitor performance. As a result of this outage, we've extended #PokemonGOCommunityDay in the Asia-Pacific region for an additional three hours. The event will now come to an end at 6:00 P.M. JST.
