GN Version 5.0

Suda51 is my kindred spirit. He seems to be into everything I am! Today I got to learn a bit more about the man himself, his tastes, and what inspires him.

I was snooping through some Switch related articles on 4Gamer, and I noticed a feature from Suda51. Apparently he has a reoccurring segment on the site where he sits down to talk about movies that he loves and has been inspired by. In the latest feature, he discusses the film Lucky, starring the late, great Harry Dean Stanton. This leads to a discussion about Twin Peaks, which Stanton was also involved in. For fans of Twin Peaks, it shouldn't be surprising to learn that Suda51 is really into it!

The conversation eventually moves on from those works to Suda51's own project, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. He says the project is about 30% complete right now, and he's putting his all into it. He again makes it clear that this game is indie-focused, and not a direct sequel to the No More Heroes franchise. Suda51's goal was to challenge himself and take on something that was outside of his usual scope. He's considering the whole game a bit of an experiment. Hopefully fans end up liking the results!
