Insignia customer service rep says Nintendo's warnings about Switch third party docks is a "marketing strategy", any dock issues are caused by Nintendo

Nintendo recently put out a message warning against using third party docks for your Switch, as they might end up causing problems with your system. This message came out after one of the most recent Switch firmware updates. We know Nyko's dock has had some issues with the Switch so far, but what do other companies have to say? Here's a statement from an Insignia customer service rep.

Thank you for contacting Insignia products. My name is Carlos and I will be assisting you today with your Nintendo switch dock. We have not received any report from customers, but to be honest this seems more like a marketing strategy from Nintendo to keep customer away from 3rd party companies, actually we know that this is a real problem, but it is caused by Nintendo and their latest update. If you want to keep using this device let me tell you that Nintendo is not taking responsibility for this and this kind of issues are not covered under our warranty because this is not a factory defect but something they are doing on purpose.

Oh man, those are some bold statements from Insignia right there. I imagine this rep is going to get in just a bit of trouble when word of his reply makes it to the higher-ups.
