Day one!
You have NO IDEA how happy I got when they announced the drum controller in the very end of that trailer. Was afraid we'd be left out.

I was super stoked to see that controller too. I was gonna get it regardless, but now I'm going to have to import it day one now. Hopefully it'll be like the PS4 version and play in English. When they talked about the controller, they mentioned "Doji Hatsubai", that means released simultaneously.

You think it will be on Amazon US, or are these things only available at play-asia at launch. Never imported a game before.

It will ultimately come down to who's selling on Amazon. Namco Bandai seems to sell other versions of Taiko No Tatsujin on Amazon, so it seems pretty likely they'll also sell the Switch version when it releases.

But if all else fails, Play-Asia is pretty reputable (though shipping costs can get up there for quick delivery). I bought Daigassou Band Bros. and Ouendan 1 and 2 from them years ago. In recent years, I've bought amiibo and JoyCons related to Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2. All arrived in safe, working condition.

And if absolutely nothing else, there's always ebay.
