GN Version 5.0

The Binding of Isaac came out back in 2014, but developer Edmund McMillen is still supporting the game with new content. Booster packs launch every now and again, bringing all sorts of new gameplay and more to the title. While the idea of another round of booster packs is up in the air, McMillen told Polygon that he has interest in a sequel.

“One day, I’d like to do a sequel to The Binding of Isaac. There are certain elements of the game’s design that I would want to hold for a sequel. Because I don’t want to introduce whole new mechanics. I would have to rewrite the game; that would change everything.”
