Shantae: Half-Genie Hero “Ultimate Day One Edition” on Switch Sells out in Record Time

The genie is out of the bottle! XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., is excited to share that the physical “Ultimate Day One Edition” launch edition of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, created to celebrate the Nintendo Switch™ launch of WayForward’s hit crowdfunded action platformer complete with all DLC included, is shimmying off store shelves at a record rate. It has been one of the fastest-selling limited editions to date from the publisher, who pride themselves on creating high-quality, fan-centric physical game releases.

Sadly, the party can’t last forever, and supplies of the “Ultimate Day One Edition” have all been shipped to retailers, so once retailers sell through their current inventory, this edition will be gone forever. For Shantae fans who missed out but still want to secure a retail copy of the game, the “Ultimate Day One Edition” will be replaced in the coming weeks by a standalone Nintendo Switch release titled Shantae: Half-Genie Hero - Ultimate Edition. This edition still contains the base game and all DLC, but omits the bonus art book and soundtrack.

This Nintendo Switch-exclusive physical release includes the base game as well as the ‘Pirate Queen’s Quest’, ‘Costume Pack’, and ‘Friends to the End’ DLC, all on a single game card.
