Reggie Fils-Aime knows that fans want third party content. The big man himself said that building up relationships like the one for Fortnite is important. How does Nintendo woo those third parties? Here's what Reggie had to say.

"[Developers] want a platform itself that's vibrant, growing and has a highly engaged player base."

The Switch has certainly been quite successful so far, and it's getting the attention of more and more traditional third parties. A lot of the success so far has to do with the Switch's unique features, which Nintendo put a lot of time and effort into. According to Nintendo’s general manager of entertainment planning and development, Shinya Takahashi, dedicated gaming devices like the Switch can still bring in millions upon millions of players.

“There is still so much possibility to create dedicated gaming devices that can reach a lot of people and resonate with them. The job for us is to make the hardware that can reach that level.”
