Sony has found themselves in a bit of a PR nightmare with the Fortnite cross-platform play debacle. Millions of Switch owners found out Sony was blocking PS4 players from taking their Fortnite accounts over to Switch, which certainly didn't go over well. On top of that, the fact that Sony won't allow cross-platform play with Xbox One/Switch players continues to enrage players the world over.

All the recent attention on these topics due to the Switch version launching has really created a wave of negativity, so much so that Sony's stock has dropped by 2%. Sony has now commented on the matter, and it's pretty much a non-response.

"We also offer Fortnite cross-play support with PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices, expanding the opportunity for Fortnite fans on PS4 to play with even more gamers on other platforms. We have nothing further to add beyond this at this point."
