Pokémon GO dispute leads to father and adult son beating up another player

Pokemon GO is taken seriously by a lot of people, but perhaps some take it a bit too seriously. A 71-year-old man and his adult son beat up a Pokémon GO player after that player accused the pair of cheating. The victim threw a plastic bottle in the car of the father/son pair, which lead to the father throwing a bottle back. Things escalated from here, with the father holding down the victim down while his son punched him in the face repeatedly. The pair were taken into custody for the beating and were held on $15,000 bail.

"The victim threw a plastic bottle in the car of the father/son pair".

Why would you do that? You can tell me that they went too far all you want (and I agree), but that right there was probably the dumbest thing he could have possibly done. Don't expect other people to take your crap. The law isn't always going to give you a "get out of one beating free" card.

How does one cheat and get accused of doing so in Pokémon GO? When trading becomes a thing later, I expect more stories like this...

"your pokemon is too strong!"

Spoofing or multi accounting.

There's some scummy people out there.

"71-year-old... father holding down the victim down while his son punched him in the face repeatedly."

Whoa, that is a strong senior citizen. Or an extremely weak victim.

But anyway, I'd say both parties just overreacted to hell. But whoever draws blood first is the one who gets in trouble. Don't draw blood.

Some good bonding just in time for Fathers Day
