GN Version 5.0

The Switch is powered by a chip from NVIDIA, the only current-gen gaming platform to do so. We know the Switch has been a huge success, which should mean good things for NVIDIA as well, right? Thanks to some recent financial info, we have a clear look at just how much bank NVIDIA is pulling in from the Switch side of things.

- NVIDIA says that its Tegra processor business generated $1.53 billion in revenue during the company's fiscal year 2018
- NVIDIA's Tegra processors are primarily sold into the Switch and into the company's automotive segmen
- NVIDIA's automotive revenue was $558 million of the $1.53 billion in total Tegra processor revenue
- the non-automotive side of the Tegra business comes in around $972 million, which should be almost entirely Switch-centric

Thanks to Sligeach_eire for the heads up!
