Hong Kong, Taiwanese, and Southeast Asian copies of Shining Resonance Refrain cannot connect to the Switch eShop to download content

The Switch eShop is handled quite differently in places like Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia. They don't have the eShop as we do. They basically have a website that they can access, obtain a code, and then download a game. That means you can't really distribute DLC or other download goodies in those regions.

When it comes to Shining Resonance Refrain, this is a pretty huge deal. Anyone who bought a copy in those regions is unable to purchase DLC, download the Japanese voice pack, or even update the game. While customers in this situation are currently screwed, SEGA has said that they're working on a patch to fix some of these problems. No idea how that's going to be distributed, but I guess we'll find out!
