As we said earlier in the week, Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda was going to be part of an interview featured in the latest issue of Famitsu. That interview is now available, and we have a quick rundown of what Mr. Masuda said concerning the Pokemon title hitting Switch in 2019.

As for the 2019 title, we’re working with the idea that everyone will be playing on their own Switch. It’ll have the same kind of feeling as the previous games on handheld systems.

Masuda was asked about the potential for bringing over Pokemon from the upcoming Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee, to which he gave an interesting response.

There have been times where you couldn’t bring Pokemon over from previous titles – I imagine that created some bad memories. I want to try and change that, if I can.
