Nintendo's Bill Trinen on the potential for a Smash Bros. Ultimate demo and DLC content

Wouldn't it be nice if Smash Bros. Ultimate had something similar to the ARMS Global Testpunch or Mario Tennis Aces' pre-launch tournament? IGN asked Nintendo's Bill Trinnen was asked this very question, to which he gave the following answer.

Very good question. Right now they're focused very much on getting the game ready. We have a few other things to talk about down the road between now and when it launches in December. We'll hopefully have some news on that as we get closer to launch.

Trinnen is also asked about the potential for DLC for Smash Bros. Ultimate. Here's what he had to say.

Obviously that was a big part of the Wii U game, but part of Mr. Sakurai's approach is really focusing on getting the game done, and then once he has the game done, he'll start to make some decisions about what he want to do. ...with other characters or DLC, things like that. Whether or not he decides to do DLC again, or whether or not he decides this is the ultimate edition and there's nothing more I can fit in there. We'll have to see as we get closer to launch.

I'd love if there was a demo or a 'Test Smash'! I played the 3DS demo to death while I was waiting to pick up a copy! A 'Test Smash' would make so much sense too, especially seeing as we'll be paying for online by then!

Not really worth the effort since everybody knows what Smash is all about and it's going to sell millions of copies regardless.

I sure wish they'd surprise me and reveal ANY kind of actual Adventure Mode.

But I have a feeling it's going to have absolutely none, just like the Wii U game, which is why it was a major disappointment to me personally.
