Nintendo continues to wind things down for the Wii Shop Channel, and now they've detailed the plans for point refunds for those in Japan. Refunds will kick off in Japan sometime in February 2019 and end on August 31, 2019. Users will have to fill out an online form to get their refunds.

There will be three different ways to get a refund. You can exchange credit for the Switch/3DS/Wii U Nintendo eShop, get a refund through a convenience store like Lawson, or have the funds put right back into your bank account. To get a refund in the first place, you'll need a Wii or Wii U with unspent points that is connected to the Internet. You can also get a refund on an unused Wii Points card.
