Fortnite - Switch Vs. Android video comparison

Fortnite just hit Android devices a few days back, so why not compare the Switch version and see how the two stack up? I'd say the Switch version looks better overall, but neither version is a slouch.

???

The Galaxy S9+ is THE most powerful Android phone currently available. I have the Galaxy S9 and I can confirm that it looks pretty bad, even when you're running it at the highest graphics setting. And it struggles to maintain 30fps.

But if you look at other comparison videos, you'll see the iPhone X doesn't look much better.

Surprisingly the Switch version just looks better than both the iPhone X and Galaxy S9+ versions. I'm guessing it has something to do with the phones using part of their power for all the other stuff that phones do, so less RAM and processing power is available for the game to utilize.

They really went with a low entry point on Android so as to include as many people as possible. I don't know if there's any settings options for those with higher specs. My phone is older than the Switch and it's infinitely more powerful. Well that's an exaggeration, but you know what I mean, it's so much more powerful.

I think this guy's hilarious. I've never seen anyone put in so much effort to sound so dumb. It's almost an art with him. I'm fairly certain he's playing a character. Consider me a fan.

It is like alko coming back from where ever he was

I’m surprised they didn’t do the google pixel 2 as that’s more on par with the iPhone X since the android os is update to date and doesnt have the reskins and tweaks like the S9 or any other android phones.

The difference is active cooling. iPhone/S9/Pixel don’t have fans and therefore have to throttle the gpus. Switch can maintain a steady experience. And as mentioned earlier....it’s a dedicated gaming platform, hence resources aren’t being used elsewhere.
