Gone Home coming to the Switch on Aug. 23rd, 2018, physical release in the works as well

In celebration of Gone Home’s 5th anniversary, we’re happy to announce that this genre-defining classic will be available for Nintendo Switch on August 23rd, 2018! It’s time to go home again.

June 7th, 1995. 1:15 AM. You arrive home after a year abroad. You expect your family to greet you, but the house is empty. Something's not right. Where is everyone? And what's happened here? Unravel the mystery for yourself in Gone Home, a story exploration game and award-winning debut from The Fullbright Company.

Gone Home hits the Switch on Aug. 23rd, 2018 for $14.99. If physical releases are more your thing, you'll be happy to know that iam8bit is working on a physical edition of the game for Switch, as well as a vinyl release of the game’s soundtrack. No word on a release date for those projects at this time.

Thanks to Sligeach_eire for the heads up!

Just because you can port something to switch doesnt mean you should

No, go away! I’d rather play sonic boom than this pandering piece of shit!

Why all the negativity? Sure, this game isn't for everyone but if you're into the mystery genre and you like exploration then I recommend checking this game out. It's kinda short but if you take your time and immerse yourself you will have a good experience.

This game sucks so much, don't buy it

I played this a few years ago on Steam and really enjoyed it. I probably wouldn't mind going back through it again on the go with Switch. If you're in the mood for an atmospheric experience with a very personal story, definitely a game to try!
