The levels haven't been remade from scratch. They've been for the most part touched up and given a fresh lick of paint. I see some stages where they've made slight tweaks to the assets. You can't say there's any stage that looks drastically, different or better.

Some of the levels have a crazy amount of detail added. Even the brawl and melee levels that were in smash 4 have so much more detail now.
