RUMOR - Peppy playable in Starlink: Battle for Atlas

Yesterday we shared a video from IGN on Starlink: Battle for Atlas. The video itself shared a little nugget about the game we hadn't heard yet. According to IGN, Peppy from StarFox would be playable in the game. We already knew that you could fly around as Fox McCloud, but the news of a playable Peppy was previously unknown.

It seems either IGN let the info out early, or had things completely wrong, as they've since removed the video from their YouTube channel. Neither Nintendo or Ubisoft have commented on the info.
