Earlier today we shared news of Dragon Quest Builders 2 launching for Switch on Dec. 20th, 2018 in Japan. Since then, Square-Enix has shared more details on the game and upcoming promotional plans.

First up, Square-Enix revealed a special digital-only bundle for the game launching alongside the standard 7,800 yen version. This 9,700 yen digital-only bundle includes the game, two post-launch downloadable content packs, and an early unlock of the “Yuubon Sunglasses.” First-print copies of the physical edition, as well as digital edition purchases before January 20, 2019, will include the “Slime Tower” recipe.

Continuing on with bonuses, early eShop purchases will include the “Heroes Pixel Decoration” recipe set. Various retailers will offer up different “Crest Blocks” as an early purchase bonus. The list of retailers and their bonuses is as follows.

Amazon Japan – Crest Block: Solar
Ion – Crest Block: Star
7-Eleven Shopping – Crest Block: Moon

GEO / Game Tsutaya / Tsutaya Online Shopping / Yamada Denki – Crest Block: Life

Square Enix themselves will be offering a special Dragon Quest Builders 2 origami set for those who purchase from their e-Store.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is going to make its playable debut at TGS 2018, running from September 20th to 23rd. There will be a special stage event for the game held on September 22 at 14:00 JST.

If you can't make it to TGS 2018, no worries! Square Enix will also be holding a Dragon Quest Builders 2 “Builders Experience Tour” at five locations in Japan. The locations/dates are as follows.

October 6 and 7 – Osaka: Aeon Mall Sakai Kitahanada
