GN Version 5.0

Allow me to confuse you for a moment. Nintendo revealed Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn during this week's Nintendo Direct. It's a port of Kirby's Epic Yarn to the 3DS, and it includes a handful of features. What versions of the 3DS will you be able to play the game on? Well, I guess that's up for debate. First up, here's what Nintendo's official hub page for the game says.

New Nintendo 3DS systems only

Seems pretty cut-and-dry, right? Well, let's take a look at what Nintendo's PR blurb says about the game. The important part is in bold.

Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn: The hit Wii game Kirby’s Epic Yarn is warping to Nintendo 3DS. Every stage in the original Wii version is stitched in, but this Nintendo 3DS version has some new features, like the ability to craft bigger yarn balls, summon bead-collecting wind and play two new modes featuring familiar faces King Dedede and Meta Knight. Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn is scheduled to launch for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems in 2019.

Well, I would consider EVERY version of the 3DS to be a part of the '3DS family,' wouldn't you? Now I'm left confused as to what versions of the 3DS will actually play this.
