Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country copies in Hong Kong and Taiwan feature a misleading sticker

If you're buying a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna – The Golden Country from Hong Kong or Taiwan, you'll notice the game has two extra stickers on it. The first sticker is no big deal, letting players know the game is playable in Chinese. The second sticker is the head-scratcher, as it says, “The game is the Japanese version so the included download code is not usable.”
As you might guess, the code is indeed redeemable, but you have to go through the Japanese Switch eShop, which is what Switch owners in Hong Kong and Taiwan already use.
