GN Version 5.0

Keita Takahashi is well known for being one of the most quirky and outspoken devs in the game industry. He created Katamari Damacy, as well as a handful of other unique titles during his game development years. He also famously stepped away from gaming for quite some time with the goal of making real-life playgrounds. Since then, Takahashi has wandered back towards gaming, and has jumped right in on the Switch.

First up, the good news! Takahashi recently purchased a Switch, alongside both Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey. As for how he feels about those titles, you can check out his direct comments below.

"(Zelda: BotW) It's not fun for me. (The) gap between story and the system...that bothered me, then I stopped playing. Then Mario, I was so excited about the new Mario but after I finished Mario, I just turned off the Switch, I have never turned [it] back on."

Again, Takahashi is an extremely unique individual. If he didn't make comments like those above, I'd start to worry! The mind behind a game like Katamari Damacy is going to be eccentric, without a doubt! Of course, the most important thing to remember here is, to each their own.

...I wonder if he'll pick the Switch back up for Katamari Damacy Reroll!
