Maxsoft facing major backlash after Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country debacle in Southeast Asia

GN Version 5.0

As we reported weeks ago, physical copies of Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country in Southeast Asia were missing expansion pass codes. Distributor Maxsoft was looking to set things straight by offering customers items like Roy and Bowser amiibo. Not exactly the kind of compensation slighted customers were looking for.

Maxsoft's Facebook page has been hit with all kind of complaints about the compensation program, which they responded to by changing the items being offered. Instead of the amiibo, Maxsoft looked to offer a Legend of Zelda decal and screen protector set for Switch. Obviously customers weren't accepting of this offer either. This lead to more negative comments from customers on Maxsoft's Facebook page.

Maxsoft has now taken to deleting negative comments on their posts, which has fans firing back with even angrier comments in turn. It seems like the situation is getting worse and worse, and only a traditional refund will be enough to calm fans down. We'll keep tabs on Maxsoft's next move to see how things turn out.
