Princess Peach ends up turning down both Mario and Bowser's marriage proposals in Super Mario Odyssey, but it looks like Nintendo might have considered letting Mario and Peach actually tie the knot at one point. This concept art from the Super Mario Odyssey art book definitely seems to imply that the pair were ready to get hitched at some point!
