The Hori Pad Mini for the N64 is being re-released through Retro-Bit

When it comes to N64 controllers the Hori Pad Mini has been the gold standard. It has a much better button and stick configuration compared to the original trident controller, it's overall form-factor feels more comfortable and the analog stick is vastly superior. The downside of the Hori Pad Mini is that, since it was a Japan-only release they get to be ridiculously expensive nowadays for retro collectors. But Retro-Bit, known for making clone consoles and retro accessories, recently teased a new controller from their skunkworks lab, but it looks awfully familiar. That's because Retro-Bit has licensed the molds from Hori to bring the Hori Pad Mini back into production, and it is being released here in the USA.

Thanks to MarioCheated for the heads up!

Hope it's 100% accurate to original version. A working controller is stopping me from replaying some N64 games.

Check out this N64 controller, it's helped me get back into a ton of games. Really well made and controls are excellent.

Ohh, that looks really cool. Thanks for the heads up! Really tempted to get this, along with some N64 games for XMas, if 3DS doesn't blow my budget (picking up Atlus games ATM, before they become really expensive) Smile

Still have my original, never gonna get rid of it. I hope those won't be exact copy-paste replicas (which I should hope they won't be) so as to not trick people into paying an expensive price for what wouldn't be the originals.
