Capcom has talked a bit more about Resident Evil 7: Cloud Version, which was released for Switch in Japan awhile back. According to an internal Q&A, Capcom put the game out as a bit of technological research, and it didn't have a significant impact on earnings.

"While we did release a certain title supporting cloud gaming in the first half, this was done primarily for technological research purposes and did not have a significant impact on earnings. Based on the results of the research, we will internally consider further expansion into cloud gaming."

This isn't the first time Capcom has said that they'll consider more cloud versions of games for the Switch. We'll just have to hang tight and see what decision they make once they feel like sharing.

Thanks to Sligeach_eire for the heads up!
