Niantic looking to update Pokemon GO with features that were present in the game's debut trailer

John Hanke, CEO of Niantic, has a vision for where Pokemon GO will head in the future. Surprisingly enough, Hanke says the game's debut trailer is the inspiration for what his team is hoping to do next.

Hanke was at the Samsung Developer Conference 2018, where he discussed interest in making the Pokemon GO experience more like the original trailer. Apparently the company will be able to makes some of those things happen thanks to improved technology, deep learning, 5G networks, and better hardware. Hanke did not go into specifics as to what features/elements the team will be working to include.
