Wow The Game Awards looks normal compared to this piece of work

I know the usual rebuttals to “why would you watch a streamer, just play the game?” is...”why would you watch football, just play the game?”, but my take on streamers is more like watching someone watch a movie.

I don’t get it, it seems pointless and boring to me, but hey they’re marking tons of money from fanbases more than half their age.

Usually the fun of watching streamers comes from the interactivity between the fans and the streamers.

Maybe, if watching a movie costed $60 and had a skill component.

So it's fan voted, who cares. I mean, did fans have any say over the categories and nominees? Most Anticipated Game doesn't have a single Nintendo game there. I can tell by reading over the categories and nominees that this would be painful for me to watch.

Seems FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR too eSports focused. I did find the "Most Desired Franchise Resurrection" category to be interesting and its nominees were surprisingly solid choices.

However a lot of these categories, for example like the one I mentioned above and Fan Favorite Retro Character, would seem weird to see repeated again for the next year, assuming this is going to be an annual tradition.

Accidentally clicked the +1 on this. Don't really feel strongly either direction.

2 Videogame Award shows now? I wonder what the Dorito Pope thinks about this?

Dr. DisRespect cheats on his wife

Fixed that little typo for ya.

What the f does that even have to do with gaming anyway?

What is all this celebrity and streamer crap? It should be about the games, developers, artist and composers. When you don't have Smash in your most anticipated category, you know your awards show is a little bit shitty.

A bunch of random internet opinions presented in a poll vote is barely enough content for a Facebook post let alone a f awards show
