Nintendo the second most-seen gaming industry brand on TV for Nov. 2018

Time for the monthly check-in on TV advertising spend. Nintendo has once again taken the top spot, this time for Nov. 2018. Check out the specifics below.

- $20.4 million spent on 19 spots which ran over 7,500 times
- 1.2 billion TV ad impressions
- largest share of the spend ($5.8 million) was on Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! And Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee!
- appeared on networks like Adult Swim, Nick, and Comedy Central
- aired during shows such as SpongeBob SquarePants, South Park, and The Loud House

Interesting to see Nintendo diversify their ad audience from children shows to more adult shows.

Not sure the juggernaut that is Pokemon really needed that level of ad investment though.

Slightly unrelated, Microsoft has some badly designed YouTube ads for Xbox. By the time the skip ad button shows up, you still don't know what the ad is for. It's just gameplay of games, with no system shown.
