- localization of Pokemon games also caused a lot of trouble at first, as they were developed with Japanese audiences in mind
- translating text from Japanese to English in Pokemon Red and Blue caused a lot of headaches and required more devs
- the cries of Pokemon took a lot of time to tweak, and text had to be adjusted for each region to make sense
- it took about 6 months to one year for a Pokemon game to launch in countries outside Japan due to localization
- now Pokemon Co. can bring out games simultaneously worldwide
- bringing Pokemon: Let's Go to Switch was “more difficult than what we expected”
- some on the team believed it was “5 times harder” to make a Pokemon game on Switch
