Pokemon Stand vending machines get facial recognition

- facial recognition cameras have been installed on all Pokemon Stand vending machines
- these cameras are used for the purpose of “ensuring high customer satisfaction”
- it's also used for restocking goods, preventing goods from selling out too quickly, and other potential services
- the facial recognition cameras do not capture any photos, but derive data based on the customer’s face
- data is sent to The Pokemon Company for analysis

Game Freak starting a new YouTube series

- starts January 11, 2019.
- series will focus on Game Freak illustrators Ken Sugimori, Hironobu Yoshida, and James Turner
- all three will draw while they talk about their work

Chinese Pokemon fans being hit with scams

- Pokemon Quest is launching soon in China
- fans signed up to be notified on updates for the game
- those on NetEase’s mailing list have been receiving scam messages for other bootleg Pokemon games
