Nvidia showcases the improved textures in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for Nvidia Shield

We've seen a few screenshot comparisons and fan-made features, but this is an official comparison from Nvidia themselves. Now you can see how their texture work stacks up prior to, and after their 'deep learning' application.

The Switch port will be announced alongside Midna (True Form) as a Smash Bros DLC fighter (and an Arbiter Ground's stage). Mark my words.

Yet nothing like this for the Switch. Unbelievable that only China gets these games.

How does this port hold up vs the Wii U HD version, and why the HELL is there no Switch port of either?

Shut up and take my money!

These ports would be great on Switch, especially since both systems use Nvidia hardware.

There has to be more to this, right? Why put so much effort into a handful of ports for a single market? GameCube and Wii games emulated on Switch plz.

I think it's more Nvidia showcasing their tech of improving textures with this deep learning thing rather than Nintendo initiating it to garner more interest for Gamecube ports

Not what I want to believe but probably the truth. Will I ever have F-Zero on Switch? Oh bother.

Interesting application of machine learning. Nvidia is pretty big in that space. I wonder if tech like that will make it mainstream in game development and help speed up the amount of time and effort needed for texture work in new games or if it can only be applied to improving existing games.
