The Switch has sold 32.27 million units during its 22 months on the market. That puts it in line with the Wii, and ahead of the PS4. Switch software blew through expectations, and Nintendo raised full-year estimates to 110 million. You'd think that would make the platform quite a success, right? Not according to one analyst.

A rep at Asymmetric Advisors, an investment financial group, said today's fiscal results were “worse than what we expected,” and stated that “sales aren’t as strong as they should be in the second year. Huge failure.”

Nintendo President and CEO Shuntaro Furukawa responded to any/all investor concerns by stating the following.

“I’m not sure why it (Nintendo Switch) is not shipping, but we will look back at what happened and make good use of the next financial quarter. Don’t be too worried. We are in the midst of establishing the foundation of the (Nintendo Switch) business. There’s still room for us to increase marketing in the next term.”
