Piranha Plant DLC codes were selling for upwards of $25 on eBay prior to launch

Here's a real head-scratcher for you. Piranha Plant was a free download to those who registered their copy of Smash Bros. Ultimate. If you didn't register your game, you could still get the character, but you'd have to pay. The character is available to everyone for $6, but I guess some people thought you wouldn't be able to get the character without a registration code. Online auctions from eBay showed that some people were bidding/buying the Piranha Plant codes for roughly $25. I bet those people are just a tad upset now!
