RUMOR - Spelunky 2 coming to Switch

Spelunky 2 is due out sometime in 2019, but it was never announced for Switch. Could the game eventually make its way over to the platform? According to Josh Fairhust from Limited Run Games, the title is definitely making its way over.

While Spelunky dev Derek Yu has said in the past that he'd like to bring something over to Switch, he has never officially commented on Spelunky 2 for the platform. Mr. Fairhust from Limited Run Games flat-out said the game is 'definitely coming to Switch.'

We're keeping this marked rumor for a number of reasons. First off, I wouldn't say it's officially confirmed until Mr. Yu reveals the news himself. Second, while there's a screengrab of Fairhurst sharing the information via Discord, you can never fully trust screengrabs like this. It could be faked, or it could be someone pretending to be Fairhurst. Let's just hope everything is on the up-and-up, and Spelunky 2 will hit Switch in the near future.
