This is actually awful, but thats the level of quality you expect from Kotaku

"What the heck?" I was expecting GameXplain to be the authors of this video. An hour, I think even GameXplain would be impressed by that milking.

Let me get some popcorn. Since this analysis is feature length.

EDIT:Is this a bit? The first ten minutes are just meandering about E-Sports Mario, then antagonism about the original game getting worse over time. Yeah, not gonna finish.

Half of this just seems to be rambling about things, with Tim Rogers explaining how much he hates Cat Mario and...

It's kind of an unfocused mess. Plus they miss a lot of details that are revealed in the trailer, probably because they're distracted by rambling.

It's no GameXplain Analysis Machine, that's for sure

What kind of sh*t annalyses is this, more than half is rambling about other stuff.

I'm hesitant to even click on this and add to it's view count. What's the like to dislike ratio?

86 likes - 4 dislikes. Comments are mostly positive.

Oh, well maybe it's not as bad as some of you are making it out. I'll give it a shot.

Edit: Nope, not feeling this one. Next time I'll just listen to this community.

Yeah it doesn't take long to realize that this isn't really analysis. It's 10% analysis, 80% crapping on NSMB and 3D World, and 10% miscellaneous things.

Is this the first Tim Rogers video to be posted here or something? He's the best video essayist on the internet right now, in my opinion.

Edit: though this isn't one of his essays, it's more like a podcast / reaction video.

Some people need to get a life it seems.

"Deconstructing" is a strangely apt name here. No constructive criticism, and very little actual analysis.

He that breaks a thing to find out what it is has left the path of wisdom.

Indeed. :3
(I don't really think that quote is universally true... I mean, you need to break down that sentence in three parts to understand it.) ;)

Tim Rogers is meant to be a comedy person. That's why this video is the way it is and it's amazing. Easily my favorite of Kotaku's video crew.
