Fortnite datamine points to potential 'Gun Game' mode being added

Call of Duty fans might be very interested in a mode that could be coming soon to Fortnite. A datamine of the most recent update has found mention of a 'Gun Game' mode.

Over on the Call of Duty side of things, the Gun Game mode is a wager match that consists of a set number of players competing in a free-for-all style game. As you get kills, you unlock more weapons. The goal is to become the first person to get a kill with every single weapon.

The content found in Fortnite seems to be taking direct inspiration from what you can play in Call of Duty. Fortnite files make mention of a “Gun Game”, and describe it by saying, "Earn eliminations to make your way through all of the weapons to the end!" Certainly sounds like the same mode to us!
