Mercedes-Benz CLA modified to let you play Mario Kart with its steering wheel and pedals

The Daimler Research Group are always working on a lot of projects. Some of them are quite serious, and some are nothing more than a bit of fun. The above image shows off one of the more whimsical efforts the team has sunk some time into.

The Group decided to modify the MBUX infotainment system from a Mercedes-Benz CLA to work with a game of Mario Kart. This isn't just a screen showing a game. This setup actually lets you use the car's steering wheel and pedals to play. The interior lighting system works in sync with the starting signals, the seatbelt tightens anytime you crash, and the air conditioning blows at you when you hit a speed boost!
