ARTE is pleased to announce that rhythm-based 3D platformer, Vectronom will premiere in fully playable form in North America at GDC and SXSW. Additionally, The Wanderer: Frankenstein's Creature, a new game based on Mary Shelley’s legendary Gothic novel will be available to experience at GDC. During GDC, ARTE will be located at GDC Play, Booth 3106, North Hall, March 20 - 22. At SXSW, Vectronom will be in Exhibit Hall 2, Indie Corner at SXSW, March 15 - 17, where attendees can challenge themselves and decide for themselves if they’ll vote for it to win the 2019 SXSW Gamer’s Voice Award.

Whether by dance mat or controller, attendees will memorize patterns and solve environment-specific riddles while moving their hopping cube to the beat in the Vectronom. A collaboration between ARTE and Ludopium, an indie studio that specializes in experimental music games and ludic audiovisual installations, the Vectronom vertical slice was recognized with multiple awards in Europe including gamescom 2018. With the game now in full production, most recently it was nominated for the upcoming SXSW Gamer’s Voice Awards and a winner of GDC’s ‘Best in Play’ 2019 awards.

Geometry meets music and movement in Vectronom. Obstacles change in sync with music as this colorful madness gets harder from level to level, challenging the player’s three-dimensional thinking. With the option of hooking up alternate controllers such as dance pads, Vectronom might even get you moving more than your fingers and brain cells.
