Vaporum, a grid-based dungeon crawler, is making its way to Switch on April 11th, 2019. The title was already available on PC, but has now hit various consoles. In an interview with Nintenderos, the Vaporum dev team discusses the porting process.

We contracted two companies to make the ports for us; one for Xbox One, and the other for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The process took 7 months because we wanted the console gamers’ experience to match those of the desktop players’ in terms of quality. We eventually took the brunt of the work upon ourselves, and worked hard to optimize every system to maintain a high performance and pleasant visuals. We learned a lot by doing this, and as a result, we updated our desktop versions with many of these optimizations.
