GN Version 5.0

Final Fantasy VII has made its way to the Switch, and unfortunately, it has brought some bugs with it. Thankfully, neither bug is a big deal.

Bug one is a glitch that causes the overworld music to restart after every random battle. This bug was actually present in the PS4 version of the game, but was patched out later on. How the bug was retained for the Switch version has players confused, but hopefully Square-Enix will fix it soon.

The bug in question is a music glitch that causes the overworld music to restart after every random encounter. While this isn’t gamebreaking, it does mean that players won’t be able to listen to many of Final Fantasy VII’s iconic music tracks in full, as the tracks will just start all over again after every battle.

The second bug in the Switch version causes the screen to flash black when transitioning from cutscenes to gameplay. Again, not a major problem, but something that fans have picked up on.
