Best Buy yanks Persona 5, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Zelda: A Link to the Past Switch listings from their internal system...sort of

Gone, but not forgotten

Yesterday was quite the day, wasn't it? Best Buy brought us not one, not two, but three different listings for Switch games that haven't been officially announced. According to their internal computer system, Persona 5, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Zelda: A Link to the Past are all heading to Switch. The news spread like wildfire, and you can bet that Best Buy freaked a bit when they caught wind of the situation.

As of today, Best Buy has yanked the Switch listings for Persona 5, Metroid Prime Trilogy Switch, and Zelda: Link to the Past from their internal systems. The thing is, those listings are still present in RSS, but not on their internal system. That means the listings aren't completely removed. You'd think that if they were a mistake, everything would have been deleted!

Persona 5 and the MP Trilogy is pretty much a given by now. It's that Link to the Past part that's interesting here. Is it another remake? A sign of SNES games for NSO? eShop title? If so then will there be more SNES games coming? Is it just a big mistake and they were thinking about Link's Awakening?

I think a new Direct is needed soon =)

I think that's what it is.
Also now, we'll have to wait for E3 direct anyway.

I think we'll get a mini Direct for Dmadh Bros FLC stuff anf perhaps Persona 5 around that time. But yeah, a big Direct is the E3 one.

Oh yeah indeed, there will defiitely be a Smash direct for Joker's release. I did not think of that. Good, more direct to look forward to.

And we can all go batshit crazy talking about thenext DLC character announced Smile

I doubt bestbuy will have listings for SNES games as they'll most likely only be on the online service.

What I could honestly maybe see, with the portable nature of the switch, is a port of the GBA version that includes Four Swords. But that could still be a stretch.
