Dear Reader:
NetherRealm shares new details on D'Vorah's enhanced moveset
D'Vorah is one of the returning characters in Mortal Kombat 11, but she's getting a number of notable tweaks to her moveset and approach. Check out a rundown of info straight from NetherRealm QA analyst Steve Brownback to learn more on how D'Vorah has evolved.
- Ovipositor Rush and Bug Blast attacks return
- her ovipositors are always out this time, and she uses them more than before
- when you get into customizations, she has a ton of new moves she's never had before
- she can launch a slow-moving insect across the screen, and amplify it to launch two of them simultaneously
- use her wings to fly around the screen and drop a bug-bomb
- she can attach bugs to opponents and have them bite on command
- the opponent can’t shake these bugs off and D'Vorah can stack several of them at a time
- when she dies, one of her babies comes out, and you control the baby
- the baby has its own moveset, and your opponent will have to kill the baby to win the match
- the baby move takes up two of the three slots you can use to equip moves
- D'Vorah is a good mid-range character, as she has a move where a bug crawls out of the ground and explodes
- D’Vorah has a good low combo-starter, but no great overhead
- she can lean into close-range aggression with an equippable overhead spinning move she can use in the air
