Image & Form hosted a Reddit AMA today about SteamWorld Quest. As you might have guessed, the team also fielded questions on the SteamWorld universe in general, and much more. Check out a quick summary of things discussed below.

- no DLC planned, but if the game does well, that might change
- three different difficulty settings, ranging from "pretty easy but still challenging" to "devilishly hard"
- SteamWorld Heist sequel is 'not impossible,' but the team is focused on Quest for the time being
- Quest does hint at how it ties into the whole SteamWorld universe
- a SteamWorld Tower Defense port might happen at some point
- around 20 hours of gameplay in the main story
- there are extra challenges to tackle after the story is finished
- physical release for Quest is coming later this year, and there might be something in the works for other titles as well
- Docked: 1080p 60fps, Handheld: 720 60fps
- SteamWorld Quest digital soundtrack coming soon
- when asked if Image & Form has approached Nintendo about one of their IPs appearing in an I&F game, the dev said "Maybe!"
- some cards are impossible to miss, while others are hidden in chests and other areas
- the team would have loved to do full voice acting and a bigger game world, but budget restrictions held them back
- Switch is the most successful platform by far for SteamWorld Dig 2
- Quest started out as a completely different game, which the team will talk about at a later date
