Dear Reader:
Kill la Kill the Game: IF gets a 'Mature' rating from the ESRB
For anyone who's seen the Kill la Kill anime, it should be no surprise that the game adaptation has gotten a 'Mature' rating from the ESRB. The series is known for lots of blood, plus a ton of fan-service. Looks like all of that is making it to the game as well.
Content Descriptors: Blood, Language, Partial Nudity, Suggestive Themes, Violence
Rating Summary: This is a fighting game in which players engage in arena-style one-on-one battles using characters from the anime series Kill la Kill. From a third-person perspective, players mostly punch and kick each other as they attempt to drain opponents' life meters. Players can also use dramatic special/finishing moves to inflict more damage. Some cutscenes and battle sequences depict large sprays of blood when characters get decapitated and/or dismembered. Finishing moves often allow players to blast the clothing off opponents, resulting in brief depictions of small nude figures in the background (no discernible nipples/genitalia). Some female characters wear revealing outfits that expose large amounts of their breasts and buttocks; a gallery mode allows players to zoom in on these characters' bodies. The words “sh*t” and “b*tch” appear in the dialogue.
