GoNintendo Video - Does old concept art reveal Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 gameplay details?

Could it be?

We may have some concrete details on what's going on in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, thanks to some old concept art!

I kind of hope his hand doesn't turn into different weapons and items. There's no need. I would definitely welcome a much darker Zelda game as this trailer seems to suggest it might be.

Oh, haha. Thanks for featuring lil’ old me in the vid. ;D

I wonder if they’re going to ditch the Sheikah Slate and the Runes (huh, sounds like a band name). The Runes were great for the physics based puzzles, but I would welcome more hands-on (no pun intended) abilities such as a hookshot as well.

I would welcome the return of finding helpful weapons and items throughout your travels. But I won't mind if the Sheikah Slate sticks around... and I think it will. It's a good system, it's already been made, and I'm sure they have more puzzle ideas. Maybe they'll give the Slate new abilities, too.... like having it be the mechanism through which you hookshot.

I’d also like it if we had to find new abilities or items in the world instead of getting all of them in the tutorial, like BotW gave us all of the Runes.
Maybe we will have all the BotW Runes right from the start, but need to find/unlock the Hand abilities throughout the adventure?

I agree. There was a certain element of fun in earlier Zeldas where a new item would make it so you could explore previous areas with new possibilities. It comes with its own challenges (like remembering where you saw that out-of-reach heart piece) but it's really fun for Link to get more and more powerful and capable as the game progresses.

I'm not fond of the idea of Link's arm turning into weird things.
