Yooka-Laylee took a long time to come to Switch, and Playtonic knows that really didn't sit well with fans. That's why Gavin Price, Playtonic's Managing Director and studio Creative Lead, wants everyone to know that Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair on Switch will launch day-and-date with the other versions.
"There's been tons of effort, under the hood, put in to make sure that, day one, the Switch version – and all the versions – launch simultaneously and there's parity across them all."
Even though Yooka-Laylee was quite delayed on Switch, the game still found quite the audience.
"There's more of a natural fit between our games and fans of Nintendo. Even though the Switch [version of Yooka-Laylee] came later down the line, it did incredible for us."
